Replenishment and forecasting

Inventory planning uses confirmed demand and current stock to recommend action. Planning views do not fabricate movements. Stock changes only through a confirmed operational document.

#Reorder rules

Open /inventory/reorder-rules.

1. Choose the product variant and warehouse.
2. Set the minimum on hand threshold and target maximum.
3. Add lead time and preferred vendor where known.
4. Activate the rule.
5. Evaluate rules or preview replenishment.

Creating, editing, disabling, or removing rules requires SUPER_ADMIN or MANAGER.

#Reorder suggestions

Open /inventory/reorder-suggestions when the feature is enabled. The page matches each below minimum rule to the best active supplier using priority, price, and lead time. Suggestions group into one draft purchase order per vendor.

Review every supplier and quantity before generating. The action creates Draft purchase orders. It does not send or confirm them.

#Demand forecast

Open /inventory/forecast when enabled. The forecast uses confirmed sales order history with the available moving average or seasonal method. It is read only and does not alter stock, purchase orders, or the ledger.

Use the accuracy view to compare prior forecast values with realized demand before relying on the next horizon.

#Safety stock and simulation

Open /inventory/safety-stock when enabled. It estimates a buffer and reorder point from daily demand variability and lead time, then projects future inventory position.

Applying a recommendation updates the reorder rule minimum. It does not create stock. Review the calculation when lead time, demand volatility, or service expectations change.
